75 Of The Best Rainy Day (or Quarantine) Activities For Adults

With everybody stuck indoors due to the COVID-19 trauma, there’s no time like the present to present my list of rainy day activities for adults.   I know that you are frustrated. We all are. And Lord willing, this time of difficulty and social distancing will pass soon.

 

But what do we do in the meantime?  What kind of entertainment activities for adults can we do to give us alternatives to watching TV all day or scrolling mindlessly through Facebook?   We need some indoor fun for adults. Am I right?

 

I have scrolled the internet to find 75 of the best rainy day activities for adults that I could find.  I’ll be honest. I was pretty impressed at some of the virtual reality options that are available.  

 

I realize that we don’t always want to be attached to our technology as the only option.  And you won’t. But there’s some pretty cool ways to plug into what would normally be a fun, indoor activity.  So without further ado, here you go…

Stream a live digital yoga class available on YouTube

 

Go check out YouTube and find something new that you can learn

Play board games.  Some of my favorites are Monopoly, Risk, Pass the Pigs, which if you’ve never played before, it’s hilarious and my personal favorite.

 

Make beef jerky or dehydrate your other favorite foods

 

Support a local restaurant and order takeout

 

Rake your yard

 

Create and listen to a new playlist

 

Create a dream board of a vegetable or flower garden and prepare for summer

 

Have an indoor picnic

 

Make a time capsule

 

Clean out your refrigerator and freezer

 

Have scavenger hunts

Sing Karaoke – Have you ever checked out all that is free on Roku?   This is just one of many things that’s available.

There you have it.  I have just given you a really great list of entertainment activities for adults, for when you are stuck inside.  I challenge you to pick something new to try when you are looking for things to do when you are stuck at home.

 

My guess is that by the time this period of social distancing is over, you will not only no longer be bored.  But you will come away more cultured and talented. You will have picked up more fun hobbies. You will be more organized and connected and have learned new recipes.  And a great byproduct is that you’ll have all your Christmas shopping done for the year. 

 

Most of all, you will always have a great list of resources for rainy day activities for adults that you can share with people that you know and love.

  2. This social distancing and self-isolation actually isn’t a huge deal for me coz I’ve been used to this lifestyle. I’m an introvert and an introvert can relate. Just don’t think much about what is happening coz you already have an idea about COVID-19 and safety that you needed.

  4. I think it’s nice to start a blog now since everything is online. Also, they have more time to write. Playing video games can be nice but it’s a bit not productive.
