A Journey of Hope through the Land of Promise: Triumph Over Adversity

As we go through our daily lives it’s easy to lose sight of what’s happening outside of our own lives, we become so immersed in our struggles and quest to triumph over adversity that we often forget about the promises of God and the joy and peace that He offers us, especially during our challenges. 

When we turn on the news, we are reminded of the horrifying changes in the world.  Our options are to turn off the news and bury our heads in the sand (my personal preference – Yes, I know better,) or get consumed by all the negativity. 

But a quick look at the New Testament reminds us that we need to pay attention to world events, and to what’s happening in Israel, the Land of Promise. Israel holds a special place in the heart of God as shown in biblical history and as the focus of the end times. 

This is not an end-times review. It’s a reminder that as God’s children, we need to pray for Israel and support them, whether or not the rest of the world does.  Israel is the Land of Promise, and it’s important to remember the people there, their stories of triumph over adversity, the strength through the war they are currently living through and the evidence and reminder of God’s unwavering love and faithfulness. 

I’ve always wanted to go to Israel.  But in light of current world events and the state of the world, for most of us, there is only one option.  It’s a great option for anyone who has a heart for God’s people.

Beginning from its rescue from Egyptian slavery in the days of Moses, to the establishment of a nation that struggled against the odds, Israel is a strong testament to the fulfillment of God’s promises through the faith and resilience of its people.

Since I’m a woman, the first product I gravitated to when I opened the box was the Cacao Bean and Hazelnut Crunch Chocolate, (obviously.) Designed by Yaara, who is a mother, nature lover, and chocolatier who creates her chocolates with ingredients sourced from local farmers and inspired by nature. This smooth, creamy chocolate offers a mild crunch that comes from the hazelnuts, Yum-O!

Over the years, the city has been built with these same types of stones as in biblical times. Carved from this stone, this game, lets you play an ancient pastime that echoed through the same streets of Jerusalem thousands of years ago.
