I am a sucker for a surprise box of goodies. I am so intrigued by the box subscriptions. You send them your money and they send you a box of things that you don’t know is coming until it shows up on your doorstep and you can have your own reveal as you’ve seen on TV. So thankful to be a #FabFitFunAffiliate. So please join me as I unpack my very first FabFitFun box.
The boxes I’m really interested in are Hello Fresh, Stitch Fix, and FabFitFun, for starters. So you will probably notice a review mixed in with my regular blog posts. I hope you enjoy them.
I anxiously watched commercials and Instagram reveals of the #FabFitFun boxes. Every time I see one, I think to myself, “Self, let’s get one of those someday!”. So I took the plunge and subscribed to FabFitFun.
I was able to get a $10 off code, so it cost me $39.99 to get started. The premise is for $49.99 each season they send you a new box until you cancel your subscription. If you like my review and you want to purchase a box, please use my link FabFitFun Box Then add the following code: WINTERFUN for a $10 discount off of your first box in the Winter 2019/20 box (Yes, the code is current!). There is no additional cost for shipping.
Since I was a newbie, during my signup process I was able to pick a couple of items to get me started. My first choice was between a ” Vince Camuto” tote bag or “Crown Brush” brush set. Since I’m a tote bag and purse addict and I don’t wear makeup, I went with the tote. It’s beautiful! Its a really good size but it doesn’t have a flat bottom so without hands I found it difficult to fill. However, I will still use it.
My second choice was between an “Alfred” teapot or an “Alfred French press. I’m not much of a tea drinker, so I went with the French press, but I’ll be honest. I haven’t really figured out how to use it. I’m saving this for my son, Michael who is away at Air Force tech school until February. It’s a beautiful pot though and I’m anxious to try this type of coffee.
My third and final choice was between a “Catherine Malandrino umbrella and “Cylo Cobra” blue tooth wireless earbuds. I didn’t really need the earbuds so I went with the umbrella. Between the options of red and white, I chose white because it was more neutral. It’s a good full-sized umbrella and I love the pattern.
The rest of the items in the box were chosen by the FabFitFun experts. When you upgrade to the annual plan, you can pick all your own choices, but what fun is that? I joined for the surprises.
Here’s what I received:
Grown Alchemist Polishing Facial Exfoliant: Pink Grapefruit & Glucomannan Extract. This is a wonderful facial exfoliant that is gentle to my skin. It smells good, like grapefruit and it leaves my skin feeling invigorated but not dry.
Farmacy Dew It All Total Eye Cream with Echinacea GreenEnvy™. This eye cream came at a perfect time for me to try. I had just ran out of my regular brand. I rely on my eye cream to keep my crows feet away. It’s creamy and goes on smooth and does the trick.
Beautyblender®. This is a blending sponge to blend foundation. Neither Megan or I wear foundation so this is a stocking stuffer for my new daughter-in-law (don’t peek Sam).
Glamglow Bubblesheet™ Oxygenating Deep Cleanse Mask (2 Pack). These are super fun. Megan and I put these masks on and giggled while they bubbled right up. They are pre-cut with holes for your eyes, nose, and mouth. Add a little water and everything gets foamy. It’s a lot of fun and makes your skin feel refreshed and clean.
Simply Whimsical Set of 2 Tea Towels. These are full-sized absorbent kitchen tea towels that now hang on my dishwasher. They look and work great.
Skin & Co Roma Blue in Capri Shower Gel. We use shower gel as the only type of soap in our shower. The scent is called Blue in Capri. It’s a lovely blend of alpine rose, sage, wild basil and autumn blossom. My husband chose this shower gel for himself and I rarely got to use it, but I loved the scent when he shared.
The total value is $370 worth of products for only $49.99 and with my code WINTERFUN for the 2019/20 Winter box, you can get $10 off. Who doesn’t love a bargain? I absolutely do!
Now that holiday shopping is in full force, I believe that a FabFitFun box would make a great gift for any woman. You aren’t obligated to receive future boxes but should you continue, they come out seasonally. In fact, the box is building and will ship in the next couple of weeks.
I encourage you to buy one for all the women in your life, including yourself. I really enjoyed playing with all of the items I received in my FabFitFun box and I know you’ll love them too. Please note, each season the products will change. The surprise is half the fun! Please leave your comments to let me know what your favorite products are. This was actually my first product review on this blog, but I really do plan on more. You may be interested in a review that I did later on called Life is about moments: Make them last forever.
Wow! I am the same as you – I have wanted to sign up for a subscription box for so long. This was definitely the post to convince me to do so 🙂
I’m so glad, Alexandra. Be sure and use my link with the code so you can save some money on your first box. Have fun with it.
Sounds like a fun idea! I hadn’t heard of Fab Fit Fun boxes before. Thanks for expanding my horizons!
My pleasure!
